A big hit in Japan, this contemporary album features the sultry vocals of Kelli Sae,
a founding member of the acid jazz duo "Count Basic."  Here she抯 backed up by the
extraordinary Philippe Saisse Acoustique Trio.  Together they paint a wide landscape
of both vocal and instrumental contemporary jazz that is highly captivating.  Saisse,
known for his work with Gary Burton, David Sanborn and Al Jarreau, displays on every
track his amazing talent on both the acoustic piano and electronic keyboard.  This
hot release contains 11 songs, including their unique version of the Bee Gee抯 hit
"Stayin?Alive" and Cat Stevens?immortal song "Wide World,"

The best work we've heard so far from pianist Philippe Saisse -- a smooth set of
keyboard tracks with guest vocals by the ultra-soulful Kelli Sae! The album's a
really solid winner -- a bit jazz and a bit NuSoul, with a lean approach to the
tracks that moves past any obvious cliches, and which steps easily between
instrumental and vocal tracks, making for a really fresh approach. The album's
got a freshness that almost reminds us of the first few records we heard by
Incognito -- as Sae's vocals are drenched in classic styles, yet break out with
a confidently new sort of feel. And although the group on the set is listed as
the Philippe Saisse Acoustique Trio, Saisse himself is playing Fender Rhodes on
most tracks -- making for a very sweet electric feel! Titles include "Dorian",
"Go For It", "With You", "Oooh", "Okay", "Finck It Up", and "Wait For The Day".
