In 2000, Eric Essix decided to do an album for Zebra Records (WEA) that explored
the music that he grew up listening to - soul, R&B, country and especially gospel.
That album was called Southbound and it was the start of a journey that produced
a second record in 2004 called Somewhere In Alabama. It is only fitting that his
latest offering brings him all the way home...home to Birmingham.

Created with the help of Grammy nominated producer Kelvin Wooten who has worked
with artists like Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Anthony Hamilton,
the album pays homage to the city of Eric's birth.
