Higher Octave旗下的吉他手Craig Chaquico一直都是Smooth Jazz领域
最具个人特色的音乐家，而这些鲜明的个人化特点大部分是反映在他所使用
的吉他上，很多人认为他一直是弹电吉他为主，其实在他加盟Higher Octave
成为一名 Smooth Jazz 吉他手之后，就一直把玩acoustic guitar，而那张
Smooth Jazz经典作品 Acoustic Highway 更是其登峰造极的佳作， 当然他
肯定是在其手中的吉他上做了“手脚”，要不好端端的一把木吉他是不可能
有如此宽广的音域的。而高频音节经常是Craig Chaquico所采用的主音调,
如果长时间聆听如此高的音频，难免使人烦躁， 但在和3rd Force搭配的时
候，Craig Chaquico的高频吉他和3rdForce时尚动感的节拍便形成了错落有
致且极端丰富的音层，令人百听不厌。

Four Corners works its way backwards through the musical life
of this former rock guitarist (Jefferson Starship) and current
smooth jazz phenomenon. The disc opens with the sound of a rush of
wind leading into the laid-back Russ Freeman composition "The
Drifter," which finds the two friends contemplating the universe
with swirling, soaring acoustic and electric guitars amid spacy
atmospheric sounds and percussive rumbling. Combining a crunchy
shuffling hip-hop groove with more organic tribal rhythms behind
a cool weave of his guitar and Ozzie Ahlers’ bluesy keyboard
harmonies, Chaquico explores both the calm and the energy inherent
in the color shifts as a "Turquoise Moon" rises over the desert.
"Red Rocks" ---- featuring the lazy flugelhorn accents of John
Halblieb ---- and the densely percussive "Arizona Daybreak" also
capture that vibe.
