This smooth-jazz gem was inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Central Oregon. Special guest sax performances by Andy Warr.
02. Lullaby Blues
Although beginning with a “lullaby” feel, this song evolves into a provocative bluesy-rock attitude with Lino’s long time friend, Chris Frazier, delivering a high-energy performance on drums.
03. A Short Study In E Minor
This piece is a short and bittersweet classical guitar interlude.
04. Farewell 559
Originally composed as a very personal dedication to Lino’s first hybrid wolf, Joshua, this composition was never intended for public release. However, Lino felt it appropriate to honor his number one four-legged soul mate and to celebrate his life and all those he touched in his short but magnificent life.
05. Bittersmooth
Another multi-dimensional smooth-jazz piece, this tune is imbedded with a clever balance of sax and guitar.
06. A Short Study In D Major
Another one of Lino’s short studies on classical guitar.
07. Sacred River
This soothing collaboration with songwriter, Merle Hoover, honors Lino’s love of the many special rivers that flow through the beautiful country of Central Oregon.
08. Rio Salvaje
Translation - “Savage River”, this high-energy Spanish piece finds its inspiration once again in the stunning and fast flowing rivers of Central Oregon.
09. On The Fly
Simple and emotive, this mellow smooth-jazz tune was conceived in Lino’s love of fly-fishing the pristine waters of Oregon.
10. A Short Study In E Major
This “Petite Etude” is the third short classical guitar study on the “Cascadia” CD - an energetic setup for the last song.
11. Divertimento No. 1 in D Major “Presto”
This would be the third of Lino’s tribute covers to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Lino’s favorite composer. Lino’s guitars support and energize Mozart’s string arrangements. With the addition of percussion and a few surprises, this piece gives a new and modern twist to the original composer’s vision.
