    Ray Charles，他是一个黑人盲歌手。他从七岁起因为青光眼的病情恶化而导致双目失明。后来，他父母双亡，唯一的兄弟在一次事故中丧生。他自学盲文、钢琴和作曲，一生获得过12座葛莱美奖杯，1986年入选摇滚名人堂，1988年获颁葛莱美终身成就奖，成为“灵魂乐之父”。

    2004年6月10号，Ray Charles因肝病的并发症病逝于加州，享年73岁
