INSIDE I'M SINGING

Many artists have recorded our music - and even turned our instrumental melodies into vocal songs. It started with Barbra Streisand, who in 1999 contacted us after hearing our music in Ireland. She suggested putting lyrics to "Heartstrings" and singing it as a loving song. We have worked with many great artists. "You Raise Me Up" is to date covered by more than 500 different artists — Josh Groban, Westlife, Il Divo, Celtic Woman, to name a few.

This album is a project we are excited about. We wanted to revisit the process – take some of our own favorite melodies — have lyrics written for them - arrange them in new ways – and invite some of the greatest singers to give their voice and interpretation to our music.

Finding the right artist for each song has been a special joy in this project. Very often we could almost hear the voice we wanted inside the songs – as if the songs themselves suggested the singer. We wanted to work with artists who not only could sing the songs – but who could also feel that the songs belonged to them so that it would become a part of their musical identity. We are very proud to present an amazing array of artists who have given our music their voice and heart – who most generously have brought their unique performance and signed our music with their artistry.

You have given us gifts we are truly grateful for.

In creating this album the Irish lyricist Brendan Graham has been a key person for us. Ever since he wrote the lyrics for "You Raise Me Up" in 2001 he has been a part of our creative team. He has a special way of defining our music through his beautiful and timeless words and stories. This album, with 9 of his lyrics, is a tribute to his great writing – and his invaluable contributions to our music.

Within the music there is a longing without words.
Within the melody there is a story without a voice.
But, inside I'm singing.
