We always felt this piece transports us to a nocturnal Spanish ambiance. The melody opens with John Finucane's oboe, accompanied by Spanish guitar. It then pulses through the orchestra in ever-shifting moods - from tranquility to passion; the blood-red moon rising; the heart at rest. Steven Mercurio's multi-layered orchestration weaves a rich tapestry of Mediterranean colors.

elegie 挽歌

Inspired by a Dublin concert with Anúna, this elegy was the final composition for the album. The melody revolves around a sustained drone. To Anúna's pure choral tones are added pleas for mercy and peace: Miserere nobis, dona nobis pacem. Through our website we invited global participation by submitting piano C-chords. We received 66 distinct recordings - on DATs, MiniDiscs, CDs and WAV files from around the world. In Elegie's fading chords, these pianos blend into a universal sonic energy.
