专辑介绍:

　　本片根据纳撒尼尔·菲尔布里克（Nathaniel Philbrick）的小说改编。故事讲述了埃塞克斯捕鲸船所经历的真实的海难。1819年，这艘船在南太平洋沉没，事故的原因是该船被一头足有梅尔维尔在《大白鲸》中描写的那么大的鲸鱼所碰撞。幸存的海员挤在三只小船上，在大海上漂流了90天，这期间他们经历了病痛、饥饿，最终竟演化到相互残杀、同类相食。
