Al Marconi is an internationally known performer who plays the Spanish Guitar instrument in the World Fusion, Contemporary classical music and Latin music (genre). He is an independent recording artist, composer and producer with YouTube views of more than 26 million. Porcelain Rose, a track from his Terra Nova album has achieved over 5 million views while Dark Gypsy has been viewedon more than 4 million occasions.
Al Marconi has developed aunique technique using both fingers and plectrum that stems from his earlier involvement with the electric guitar and his love of heavy rock music. More recently he has diversified into more eclectic styles including World Fusion, Nuevo Flamenco, Smooth Jazz, New Age and Ambient. Al has coined the term 'Smooth Flamenco' which he feels best suits his style of music.
Influences range from Jesse Cook, Gipsy Kings, Strunz and Farah, Al Di Meola to Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, Secret Garden and many others.
Al's soulful music comes very much from the heart and at times can be dramatic and intense and atother times serene and melancholy with his love of minor progressions and music that is deeply moving and passionate; a pleasant and catchy hook is everything to Al.
Al performs his unique style of Spanish guitar throughout the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Avon, Sus and other regions of the UK. Though thereare many artists with similarities it is fair to say that nobody out there sounds quite like Al Marconi!
