這張專輯是嘉碧妲在索尼的第七張專輯，也是她的第二張韋瓦第專輯，她選奏了三首韋瓦第的大提琴協奏曲，再加上一首少有錄音紀錄的韋瓦第大提琴奏鳴曲，以及一首由同時代作曲家里歐（Leonardo Leo）所寫的大提琴協奏曲。外加一首世界首度錄音的帕拉帝（Giovanni Benedetto Platti）大提琴協奏曲，帕拉帝是十八世紀中葉的義大利作曲家，不過一生超過三十年的時間都定居於德國，為巴哈、韋瓦第同時代音樂家。這首協奏曲先前一直不為人知，直到近年才在德國荀伯恩公爵（Prince-Bishop von Schonborn）城堡的檔案中被人找到，當年韋瓦第大提琴協奏曲的手稿也同樣是在這批檔案中被發掘。荀伯恩公爵在十八世紀初和韋瓦第所居的威尼斯音樂界有密切的關係，當時荀伯恩公爵聘有一名樂師霍涅克（Franz Horneck）被派到威尼斯為他搜尋新的音樂作品，而曼茲侯爵（Mainz）也委任瑞加欽格（Matthias Ferdinand von Regaznig）駐派在威尼斯，只要有任何當地新完成的音樂作品，都會寄回荀伯恩圖書館收藏，在這裡一共找到七首韋瓦第協奏曲手稿，大約都是1710年前後創作的。嘉碧妲在本片中演奏的就是其中的三首。
