该曲由Tom Jones 1967年翻唱Jerry Lee Lewis的原曲后大为走红，优美浪漫的旋律下其实描述的是一个死囚在处刑前夜梦回故里与父母爱人团聚，并希望死后葬在故乡青青绿草下的愿望。该曲Kenny Rogers的版本也非常好听，在此一同附上。
