歌曲“A Little Bit Of Soap" 原作者是 Bert Berns, 由 The Jarmels 在 1961 年以蓝调方
式唱录 ，登上了美国流行榜第12位, 但我从来没有机会听过这录音。

在1963，香港本地乐队 The Fabulous Echoes 以 薯仔舞（potato dance) 节奏灌录了
这首歌曲，一经播出，即时登上本地流行歌曲榜首，并雄踞榜首达25周之久。主唱歌手
Cliff Feonander, 是斯里兰卡人，也是在斯里兰卡成长，但从他唱歌的口音听来，我曾经
一度以为他是英国人。The Fabulous Echoes 的演绎，节奏明快，而原曲作者能从一小
块肥皂 （a little bit of soap) 中得到灵感，作出这一首失恋情歌，确是天才。猜想要是
原曲作者当年是习惯用洗手液，洗面液，浴液之类的清洁用品，则这首歌可能就不会面
世了！

由 The Fabuous Echoes 当年同期所灌录的另一首流行曲 Dancing On The Moon 是香
港2010年出品怀旧电影 “岁月岁月神偷” 的插曲之一。



上图中第二位拉车手就是主唱 Cliff Feonander.


怀念当年一起跳扭腰舞，薯仔舞，拍青瓜舞，A-Go-Go 的女孩子，差不多全部都是几十
年没有再见过面，留在我记忆中的她们还是青春漂亮的跳脱女孩子，现在应该都已经是
祖母辈啦，有可能某天在街上被我不小心碰撞的一个摩登婆婆，是其中的一位，我说声
对不起，她说声不要紧，没半丝毫互相认识的印象，之后就各走各路。。。可能天堂再
见时，会再认得吧。。。！
