这首《Jambalaya（On The Bayou）》由美国著名乡村音乐歌手Hank Williams首唱，取材于以前在加拿大的法国殖民者的后裔、后来居住在美国、被称为Cajun的族群的一首法语民歌。这首歌发行于1952年，获得了美国乡村榜的第一，而第二年Hank Williams就过世了。这首歌后来被许多人翻唱过，一些翻唱版本比原版还要流行，毕竟有许多人对乡村音乐并不是很喜欢，所以那些流行歌曲版可能知道的人更多一些，像中国听众可能都会听过The Carpenters的版本。
