your lingering touch is a charming collection of pieces from govi’s previous six albums on the real music label. many "best of" albums have a rather haphazard feel to them, but this one holds together and makes perfect sense while providing a lovely overview of govi’s "lovers moon" can "magellan’s beat." "torero" smolders, "sailing away" drifts peacefully, and ’sangria’ is light and bubbly. melodic and accessible, this is great music for a romantic picnic or garden party. it is complex enough to be completely involving, but smooth enough for a backdrop for other activities. your lingering touch is excellent from start to finish! ~ kathy parsons, solo piano.
