Cliff Richard(克利夫·理查)1940年10月出生在印度的Lucknow，英国籍，他是英
国流行音乐历史上最受欢迎和演艺生涯最长的艺人之一，有英国猫王和金童子的美
称。在英国，他有八十多首歌曲进榜的纪录，其中十首是冠军曲，其中《情如海深
》是英国乐坛长青树克里夫理查浪漫杰作，此歌是80年代经典情歌84年英国榜top30。

1957年Cliff Richard回到伦敦，开始摇滚表演，对Elvis Presley十分着迷。由于他
有极佳的外形和声音条件，1958年被星探George Ganyou发现，在他的支持下，Richard
在电视上出现，首张专辑也在英国登上了排行榜的亚军位置，迅速成为英国新一代的
摇滚乐代表，1962年，单曲“The Young Ones”使他登上了新的高峰，同名电影也大
受欢迎。后来，他采取了流行音乐的风格，单曲“We Don't Talk Anymore”是他的新
突破，到达了英国的榜首位置，并在美国进入前十。他的新风格使他在80年代中又保
持了很好的表现。在1995年，因为音乐上的成就而受勋成为骑士，1998年的11月和12
月时，他在Royal Albert Hall的音乐会上庆祝了演艺生涯的第四十个年头。

2009 release from vocalist Sir Cliff Richard and his original backing band, The Shadows,
issued to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of their initial success. For this, their
first album together in more than 30 years, Cliff and The Shadows (Hank Marvin, Bruce
Welch and Brian Bennett) have re-recorded many of their early hits as well as new tracks.
The album is being released as Cliff and the boys head out on a sold-out farewell tour.
Cliff has 14 U.K. #1 hits to his name and is the only British artist to have hit singles
in six consecutive decades since his first chart appearance with the Shadows, 'Move It,'
in 1958. Features 22 tracks including 'The Young Ones', 'Living Doll', 'Travellin' Light',
'In The Country', 'Summer Holiday' and many more. EMI.
