2004 年 05 月 21 日 “We Are the Future“演唱会5月16日在罗马的Maximus圆形竞技场举行。43位歌手在85年合唱的《We Are the World》，曾为非洲贫民筹得巨额善款。相隔19年后，该曲监制Quincy Jones于意大利举行「We Are the Future」演唱会，不过Alicia Keys等一众歌手仍令演唱会甚具可观性。

We Are the Future全球巨星慈善演唱会星光熠熠 众星云集昆西琼斯、安洁莉娜琼莉、欧普拉、安德烈波伽利、卡洛斯桑塔纳、诺拉琼斯、乔许葛洛班、娜欧米坎贝尔、何比汉考克、取六合唱团、STOMP 破铜烂铁、璜斯……(Carlos Santana、Norah Jones、Andrea Bocelli、Josh Groban、Zucchero、Herble Hancock Fher、Kazem Al Sahir、Patti Austin、Juanes 等等)以歌声传递善念、跨越宗教与国度的大爱情怀，全球最大音乐盛宴

这是美国27次葛莱美奖得主、音乐制作人昆西琼斯(Quincy Jones)继20年前策划《四海一家》(We are the World)慈善专辑救济非洲后，又一义举，旨在募款帮助全球六个战乱城市里的儿童，动员约200名艺人，在罗马举行一场名为「We Are The Future」的大型慈善演唱会，为全球遭受战火洗礼的儿童筹募善款。

　　前晚有数万歌迷出席该免费演唱会，Quincy一开场便对观众说：“我知道这个世界现在很乱，我希望能为小朋友们，也就我们未来的希望们做一点事情，希望你能加入这慈善的大军中来，帮助我们的孩子、我们的希望、我们的未来！”

　　当晚的演唱原本预定长四小时，但因观众反应热烈，过了午夜还继续表演。

　　观众和表演嘉宾都非常尽兴，这次演唱会是为战乱地区的儿童筹款，虽然是免费入场，不过将出售演唱会现场录音大碟、DVD及纪念品，连同转播费及赞助，有望筹得1000万美元（约7800万港元）善款，收益将捐给国际儿童机构The Child Centers。
