Jerusalem（耶路撒冷）是由两个希伯来字组成的：
耶路（Jeru）－撒冷（Salem）.
耶路(Jeru)的意思是"从天降下"。
撒冷(Salem)的意思是"平安的产业"。
耶路撒冷的意思就是：从天降下的平安产业。
也就是当以色列以神为产业，
以从天降下的弥赛亚－耶稣基督为产业时，
平安才会降临到耶路撒冷。





《金色的耶路撒冷》

很多中国人对这首歌相当熟悉。
奥斯卡奖得主《辛德勒名单》中，
就有一群犹太人聚会唱《金色的耶路撒冷》的情节。


《金色的耶路撒冷》既包含犹太经典的典故，
又充分表达了犹太人对耶路撒冷深厚的感情，
旋律优美而又婉转动听，在以色列经久不衰。
它被评为以色列建国后五十年中最优秀的歌曲和
20世纪最佳犹太歌曲，堪称以色列第二国歌

A ram’s horn (shofar) calls out (i.e. is being heard) on the Temple Mount
