在Office 2007办公套装中，微软引入了新的Office Open XML格式，带来了诸多全新特性，但也导致旧版Office无法兼容新格式文档。为此，微软发布了一个兼容包，让Office 2000/XP/2003的用户也得以打开、编辑、保存Word/Excel/PowerPoint 2007创建的各种新文档，如docx、xlsx、pptx、xltx、potx等。


今天，微软放出了该兼容包的最新3.0版。虽然没有公布更新详情，但相信一定在兼容性方面进行了改善，因此推荐需要处理新文档的旧版Office用户下载、使用。

概述
Microsoft Office XP 和 2003 系统 Word、Excel 或 PowerPoint 程序的用户 — 首先从 Microsoft Update 安装所有高优先级的更新，然后下载兼容包。
在装有 Microsoft Office 2000、Office XP 或 Office 2003 的计算机上安装该兼容包之后，就可以采用 Word、Excel 和 PowerPoint 2007 新增的文件格式打开、编辑和保存文件。该兼容包还可以与 Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003、Excel Viewer 2003 和 PowerPoint Viewer 2003 配合使用，用来查看以这些新格式保存的文件。有关该兼容包的更多信息，请参阅知识库文章 923505。
