“海滩男孩”组合是60年代美国加州“冲浪”运动的产物，组合由五位歌手组成。Brian是乐队的灵魂人物，凭借圆润的和声和自己的假声以及出色的吉他演奏，创造了一种与众不同的声音。乐队的完美和声影响了大批艺术家，为后人创造了大量模仿和学习的机会。“海滩男孩”也是“甲克虫”大举入侵美国时唯一能抵挡几下的乐队，可以算得上美国六、七十年代乐坛的代表乐队。他们发行于1966年的《Pet Sounds》在摇滚史上仍被视为有史以来制作最为精良、最有影响力的专辑之一。这张专辑被评论界大力称赞，在英国不但拿到了第二名，而且在NME杂志的年终票选上，他们也拿到了年度最佳团体，甚至超越了Beatles。
