2003年四月九日，美国电视网在纽约“火炬”剧院，为即将欢度70岁
生日的资深乡村巨星Willie Nelson举办了一场众星云集的演唱会，
到场包括老，中，青三代，分别来自乡村，摇滚，蓝调，爵士，甚至
饶舌的艺人，加上Whoopi Goldberg等知名影星，以及美国前总统克
林顿。除了透过电视转播，全部实况经过剪辑之后还发行了一张专辑
Live And Kickin’。

专辑第11首由成名于60年代末期的创作歌手Leon Russell登场演唱自
己的名曲A Song For You，当年由Carpenters唱红的，Willie
Nelson不但跟着唱，同时曾经录制这首歌的传奇黑人盲歌手Ray
Charles也参加合唱，他们已没有珠圆碧润的歌喉，也没有俊朗的外
表，他们的歌声更没有行云响壑的发聩，但他们在歌唱，用心，用灵
魂，一切都在平静，真实和忘我中道来!
