    冬日的午后，有薄薄的阳光安静铺撒在书房的阳台；手边一杯曼特宁，小小的音响里是这套CD，听了整整一下午。萨克斯，钢琴，口琴，演绎着好莱坞与百老汇的经典曲目，熟悉的调子，淡淡的爵士风，还有古典的优雅在其中不时闪现，对于我这样一个附庸风雅之徒而言，是刚刚好：既不会俗气到无法入耳，也不会高雅到晦涩难懂。在浮生难得半日闲的日子里，这是最好的小憩方式。

    听到第三张第三首The Way We Were，不经意地还是触动了心底里最最柔软、最最不愿碰触的那个角落，情绪上有点无以为继的凄惶，然而眼泪最终还是没有掉下来——这曾经会在曲子里痛哭失声的女孩，渐渐还是懂得了克制，虽然依旧觉得冷、和荒凉，然而无论是往事，还是我自己，都还是在光阴中平淡了下来。

    有些音乐，听到了，马上会有画面浮现，诡异、清新，恍若走在湿漉漉的夜里，半空中漂浮着辨不清方向的歌声，还有花在暗夜里低低地开；有些人，见到了，也会惊醒记忆里从未意识到的画面，呼唤着心灵上也许神秘的默契。

    这样的就是好音乐吧？能让人哭、让人笑、让人就着一杯咖啡、这么一直听下去，在阳光下在音乐里想起往事，心里无论惆怅还是喜乐都能平静以对。人总是在被提醒时，才惊觉光阴更迭；一路兜兜转转，能坚持着保存下来的，无论是音乐还是习惯，想必多多少少，都是喜欢的吧？

    所以花了时间打包这四张CD，分享的不仅是音乐，还有心香一瓣……

Brain Smith    Saxophone

Saxphonist Brain Smith was born in Wellington, New Zealand, and established his reputation working in jazz groups in New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Among his albums are Moonlight Sax(1990) and Unforgettable Sax(1991), which went No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on his country’s album charts.

Greg Vail        Saxophone

Greg Vail is one of the most dynamic players and performers on today’s instrumental scene. After receiving his B.A., in music from Cal State Long Beach, Vail rose from the ranks of local bands to more featured roles with national recording artists. Aside from playing on numerous TV commercials, films and industrial projects, Vail also established himself in the Gospel, Pop and Rock markets, performing for top artists like Petra, Leon Patillo, Slash, Billy Idol, Mars Lasar, and many others.

Carl Doy        Piano

Carl Doy studied at the Royal College of Music in London before establishing a reputation as one of the world’s top keyboardist and composers. As producer, arranger and performer, he has earned multiple gold and platinum record awards in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Asia.

Robert Bonfiglio    Harmonica

Harmonica virtuoso Robert Bonfiglio has taken an instrument known to all and raised it to new heights. Bonfiglio’s singular ability to perform as a classical virtuoso with symphonies, breathing life into pop music and playing the blues, have earned him extraordinarily high critical praise. He has been the featured soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Indianapolis Symphony, the New York Pops and countless others.
