与野人花园、凯莉米洛同样系出澳洲的新生代女歌手，被传媒誉为下一个

明日之星。甜美迷人的外型加上扎实演唱功力，使黛尔塔成为索 尼唱片全力栽培的新人，为其量身打造进军国际乐坛的全盘计划。2003年，年仅18岁的她发行首张专辑《Innocent Eyes(纯真眼眸)》，便成功创造了“Born To Try”，“Lost Without You”等5首澳洲排行榜冠军单曲，同时首支单曲“Born To Try”还打入了英国榜的前三位置；该专辑本身也在澳洲排行榜榜首停留了25周，并攻下英国、新西兰以及无数的欧洲排行榜，共创 下250万张的专辑销售，其中光是英国一地便创下逾百万张销售。黛尔塔也因此在03年澳洲音乐奖(ARIA)上一举囊括10座大 奖，而《Innocent Eyes》这张澳洲有史以来最成功的专辑更实至名归地获得了“最畅销专辑”的大奖殊荣。然而正当黛尔塔踌躇满志地准备进军美国市 场时，噩耗传来，她被诊断出患有淋巴肿瘤，这使她不得不暂时离开热爱的音乐舞台接受治疗；显然病魔并没有击倒乐观、坚强的黛尔塔 ，如今凤凰涅磐，她又回来了。

大病初愈的黛尔塔为大家带来了自己的第二张个人专辑《Mistaken Identity》，这也是一张特别为这段值得纪念的日子而创作的专辑。

值得一提的是，专辑中还收录了一首由黛尔塔与前西城男孩Westlife成员Brian McFadden对唱的描写情人分手的情歌“Almost Here”。

这是两人的首度合作，这对金童玉女对对方在音乐方面的才能和执着追求都大加赞赏，表示今后还将寻求再次合作的机会。
