Eagles(老鹰)乐队是美国七十年代最成功的乐队，将它们称为美国乃至世界最杰出的摇滚乐队之一也一点不过分。乐队的每张专辑都较好也叫座，唱片销售额已近４亿美元，他们的每一张专辑的销量都超出金唱片的销量（即五十万张）。尤其是乐队于１９７６年底推出的专辑《加洲旅店》 （Hotel California)被誉为七十年代美国最重要的专辑唱片。
