这位出生于威尔士的歌手兼词曲创作者，自6岁开始学习钢琴，14岁生日后开始
写歌.进入威尔士音乐戏剧学院主修钢琴与长笛,并立志以音乐作为终身职业.在
首张专辑「Now In A Minute」的大大畅销后,唐娜并未因此而休息,反而在97
年底至98年初在自己家中的录音室为新作做准备.


「Blue Planet」的创作灵感多半是来自于唐娜现位于都柏林的住所周遭所
发生的人、事、物；如专辑中的"Beauty And Wonder"、"Blue Planet"
便是因此而产生的；除了自己本身担任键盘弹奏外，另有多位知名乐手加入
专辑的伴奏工作，如在上一张专辑中出现的吉他手Gerry Leonard (Paula
Cole、Laurie Anderson)、贝斯手Tony Franklin (Jimmy Page)；鼓手Ralph
Salmins (Bjork、Van Morrison、Everything But The Girl) ；除此之外，
David Lowe及Paul Waller 也加入鼓声的编排工作，吉他手Jimmy Smith，
帮Bruce Springsteen、Sting、Peter Gabriel伴奏的键盘手David Sancious也加入专辑的录制工作。


首支单曲"I Could Be The One"在一阵明快的鼓点中,伴随着唐娜轻柔的嗓音
道出一个女人其实是可以完成許多不同事情的心声。"Love Him"则是难得一见
的舞曲乐風;而具有强烈旋律、放克味十足的"Beauty And Wonder"也让人耳目一新;
"Take Me Home"一曲原本则是为迪斯尼电影「真假公主安娜塔西亞」所创作的
(虽然她也与Richard Marx在原声大碟中合唱了"At The Beginning")。
整張专辑在丰富的键盘乐音、轻如空气的吉他声响与唐娜极具特色的嗓音铺陈
下呈先出一张让人尤置身天堂的作品。
