    我總是懷著最虔誠的心讀您的詩，在我最快樂的時候，最悲傷的時候，最孤獨的時候，任何時候。
　　
　　傾聽您的聲音，就如在無燈無月無星的深夜裏，有人為我燃起一支蠟燭，微微的光明，
　　
　　靜默，豁達，寬厚，仁慈，執著，讓我去冰寒而溫馨，去浮躁而寧靜，去混沌而澄明……
　　
　　請容我懈怠一會兒，來坐在你的身旁，我手邊的工作等一下子再去完成。
　　
　　不在你的面前，我的心就不必知道什麼是安逸和休息，我的工作變成了無邊的勞役海中的無盡的勞役。
　　
　　今天，炎夏來到我的窗前，輕噓微語；群蜂在花樹的宮廷中盡情彈唱。
　　
　　這正是應該靜坐的時光，和你相對，在這靜寂和無邊的閒暇裏唱出那生命的獻歌。

a ray of hope flickers in the sky,
a tiny star lights up way up high,
all across the land
dawns a brand-new morn,
this comes to pass
when a child is born.

a silent wish sails the seven seas,
the winds of change
whisper in the trees,
and the walls of doubt
crumble tost and torn,
this comes to pass
when a child is born.

a rosy hue settles all around,
you got the feel
you’re on solid ground,
for a spell of two no one seems forlorn,
this comes to pass
when a child is born

(and all of this happens,
because the world is waiting,
waiting for on child,
black, white, yellow,
no one knows,
but a child that’ll grow up,
and turn tears to laughter,
hate to love, war to peace,
and everyone
to everyone’s neighbor,
and misery and suffering
will be words to be forgotten
forever)

it’s all a dream, an illusion now,
it must come true
sometime soon somehow.
all across the land
