《Goddess 女神》是New Age大师 David Arkenstone 大卫·阿肯斯通 的“Troika 卓伊卡”
系列的第一张专辑，发行于1996年，总共包括8轨曲目。这张专辑的制作灵感是来自于多种文
明背景下的神话和传说，其中一些著名的女性神祗的故事最终造就了这张《Goddess 女神》
的核心主题。

8轨乐曲分别代表8位女神，其中不乏我们大家较为熟悉的《Venus 维纳斯》、《Kuan Yin 观
音》和《Athena 雅典娜》三位女神（实际上“观音大士”是男是女还不一定，不过 David
Arkenstone大卫·阿肯斯通 毕竟是个远离佛教文化的人，搞错也在所难免）。David Arkenstone
大卫·阿肯斯通 通过美妙动人的冥想音乐向听者展示了他心目中诸位女神的气质和形象。不
过，我个人感觉同系列中同样是牵涉不同文明背景的专辑，在“Troika 卓伊卡”系列的第三
张《Furies 仙境幻想》里似乎更容易通过音符清晰的分辨各不相同的神话传说，起码东方和
西方的差异是明显的。这点《Goddess 女神》相对做得差强人意一些——我听《Kuan Yin 观
音》的时候没有听出和其它几曲有太大的区别。但抛开这个瑕疵来看，David Arkenstone 大
卫·阿肯斯通 对几位女神的音乐塑造和旋律再现还是比较成功的，既表现出了作为女性神祗
特有的优雅魅力，又没有因此落入过于小气的境地。

his series came about because over the years I accumulated a lot of music that never
seemed to find its way onto recordings for one reason or another. So I got together
with some friends of mine, and we recorded these. They're all pretty much concepts
albums, which I like. I produced them, and they're more new-agey than some of my
world-influenced material. A lot of people have enjoyed them and I'm grateful!
Inviting, mystical musical excursions crafted with exotic synthesizer, keyboard
and voices layered over hypnotic and provocative percussion.
