　　《在蒂凡尼处早餐》（Breakfast At Tiffany’s）是根据德鲁门．凯波特（Truman Capote）同名畅销小说改编，由布莱克．爱德华兹（Blake Edwards）执导的爱情电影。奥黛丽．赫本（Audrey Hepburn）出任本片主角，并凭此片第四度获得奥斯卡最佳女主角的提名。影片讲述一个爱慕虚荣的农村女孩到纽约去寻找自己“理想的归宿”，结果因谋生艰难，最后沦落在纽约在做高级交际花。此时的她过着自己无羁的生活，整天在格林威治村闲逛渡日，一心想找个有钱的金龟婿。她时常在清晨徘徊在知名的珠宝店外，看着闪闪发亮的首饰，她想忘了自己的过去，但是过去的阴影却不时出现缠绕着她。但在遇到一名作家之后，她才发现人生有真正的爱情。影片中的作家也是男孩由乔治．佩帕德（George Peppard）饰演。

又一个具有历史意义的时刻到来了。怀着千年情结，美国词曲作家和出版商协会及专门调查演出情况的权威音乐组织恭恭敬敬的精心挑选出25首20世纪最优秀歌曲。

用不着费心去猜首选歌曲，这首歌你唱了千百遍，而且将每年都继续唱下去。从Ramones到Marilyn Monroe再到Barney的每位歌手都曾演唱过它，它就是《生日快乐》（Happy Birthday to You）。这首不起眼的歌曲于19世纪90年代写成，修女Mildred 和Patty Hill最初给它起的名字是《早上好》（Good Morning to You）。后来，Warner-Chappell在1935年获得其版权并给它填上新歌词。从公开演出中抽取版税的该歌曲的所有者公司ASCAP深信，他们这首被低声吟唱过千百万遍的歌曲肯定早已把别的候选歌曲远远抛在后面。

George Gershwin是唯一一位有多首歌曲上榜的专业音乐家，他获选的歌曲是《蓝色狂想曲》（Rhapsody in Blue）以及与他的弟弟Ira合作写成的的《发现节奏》（I Got Rhythm）。ASCAP由Berlin, George M. Cohan 和 Jerome Kern创建于1914年，是美国最古老的音乐组织。因此，榜上的重要歌曲大多是以60年代以前的标准选出的，最新的一首歌曲也就是写于70年代初的《我们的路》（The Way We Were）。这与另一家主要的演出版权组织BMI两周前发布的过去100年中在广播和电视中播放最频繁的歌曲榜形成了鲜明的对比。在那张以Righteous Brothers的经典歌曲《你已失去爱的感觉》（You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin）打头的榜中，充斥了六，七十年代创作和灌制的摇滚歌曲。
