Michelle Tumes 米萧.托梅丝
Michelle Tumes是一名生于澳大利亚Adelaide的现代基督乐歌手兼创作人。四岁开始学习钢琴。十几岁时接受了两正统古典钢琴教育，从此立志以音乐为业。在她省吃俭用的妹妹资助下，她录制了一盘样带，并很快被一家澳洲唱片公司看中。不久迁居美国，随即替Jaci Velasquez写出了基督乐榜冠军歌“If this world”。但作为个人发展，她一开始并不是一帆风顺的。直到1998年人签约Sparrow公司推出首张个人专辑《Listen》，由两获Dove Award大奖（一项New age界权威的奖项）的Charlie Peacock监制。除了这首“Feel”以外，Paease Come Back等也成为大热。她也因此获当年Dove Award最佳新人奖提名。从此一发不可收，短短几年内就推出6张专辑。

融合了教堂的正大恢宏气氛的这首歌曲或多或少的汲取了现代流行音乐的一些精华元素。比较突出的是歌曲使用的节奏部分，虽然摇滚音乐属于音乐中和思想意识上都很离经叛道的音乐，但歌曲的创作者和演奏者并没有因此而局限对更适合表达的音乐方式的使用，“Feel”使用的节奏正是摇滚乐通常倚赖为中心的摇摆节奏。乐曲如同其他的新古典主义歌曲一般，大量的弦乐组成了伴奏的和声主题，整体效果非常的突出，淋漓尽致地将面山临海毫无退惧的心理感受凸现在外。音乐上丰富的层次是这处歌曲最优胜的地方，在歌曲中间的停留处，多架键盘架设出一个巨大而凝实的空间，而其他的音乐遽然安静了下来，留下一丝弦乐悠然远渺。取材自现代音乐电声乐器的浓重由贝司声浓厚有加，而这也是歌曲之所以被称为新古典的原因所在--和声是古典的，而乐器演绎却是绝对现代的手段。
