出生于英国卡地夫威尔士市的Donna，早在6岁时她就开始接触和弹奏钢琴。

启蒙老师即Donna的父亲还引导小Lewis学着创作自己的歌曲，而这时她才只是一个青少年。

逐渐Donna长大成人，在Welsh大学戏剧学院主修长笛和钢琴在古典作品中的运用。

毕业后，她先是在萨塞克斯教授音乐课程，一年后，她搬到了伯明翰，加入了当地的酒吧乐队。

直到96年，她的首张处女大碟"now in a Minute"才得以发行。

不过几年的耽搁丝毫没有减退Donna的才华，

"I love you Alwyas Forever"作为无可比拟的热门金曲在VH1和AD等大大小小的排行榜占据领先，

声势席卷美国，首张大碟更是创造了白金的销量。

那时、那刻也是Donna最辉煌的瞬间。
